VisibleLogistics will automatically update your order's status, for supported carriers, if you specify the carrier and the tracking number.

VisibleLogistics automatically checks for new order statuses on a regular schedule. The order will only be updated when the carrier publishes a change to the order status. We currently support UPS, and are planning to introduce support for Fedex, DHL and USPS.

Make your order trackable

Create Create new order or edit an existing order.

In the Carrier reference field, type the carrier's tracking number.

Add the relevant carrier's organisation key to an actor field: currently only UPS is supported.

Save the order. You now have a trackable order.

Automatic updates to trackable orders

If an order is trackable, VisibleLogistics will periodically check the carrier for status updates. If VisibleLogistics finds a new status update, it will update the trackable order and send a notification e-mail to the order participants. This status update will, of course, also be visible on your dashboard and order pages.

When we stop tracking your order

VisibleLogistics will no longer track your order once it is complete - when its last status is a Completion status. If you change your carrier reference it still will not be tracked unless you change its status to one of the statuses listed under Confirmation or Exception in the Update order status form.

Stopping order tracking

You can also stop your order being tracked at any time by simply removing the carrier from order's roles. Similarly, you can add the carrier back to the order at any time to resume tracking.
