VisibleLogistics, like many modern web applications, uses tags to classify information and make it more findable

Tags

Tags allow you to add an ad-hoc classification to any contact, order, catalogue item, supply chain resource, or resource placement. Tags serve two purposes.

Tags on the dashboard

First, use tags to record and display additional information that the software does not explicitly cater for. For example, tag an order with telephone to indicate the order channel, even though VisibleLogistics does not have an explicit field for this.

Second, use tags to make information more findable, because you can search or browse for tags. For example, click the telephone tag to see a list of orders placed by telephone, which means that you have a flexible way of grouping orders and displaying them together.
